Get Comfortable Transforming: This Spring Equinox is not what you expected

Ahh, the Spring Equinox—a time of balance, transition, and new beginnings. Finally hitting our stride after the post-holiday slump when we start shaking off winter’s heaviness. Bring on more light, more movement, more clarity. But this year? It’s hitting differently.

Instead of the usual clean-slate, full-speed-ahead energy, the cosmos is giving us an equinox with an asterisk. With Venus and Mercury still in retrograde and the Equinox sandwiched between two eclipses, we’re being asked to slow our roll, embrace the in-between, and trust the transition. Add to that the fact that 2025 is a 9 year in numerology—a year of completion, release, and closing cycles—and the message is loud and clear: You’re not where you were, but you’re also not fully where you’re going yet. Welcome to the waiting room.

The Equinox & The Art of the Strategic and Personal Pause

Spring is a time to launch forward—roll out big projects, and charge ahead with confidence. But we all partners in the universe's cosmic dance and rarely are events isolated. This year, the energy is more about refinement than reinvention. Instead of pushing forward at all costs, leaders, teams, and individuals are being called to pause, assess, and recalibrate.

Retrogrades have a way of surfacing unresolved issues, making us revisit and refine.

Venus retrograde stirs up workplace dynamics, team cohesion, and leadership authenticity, but it also asks us to reassess personal relationships, self-worth, and emotional patterns. Are you valuing your contributions at work? Are you setting healthy boundaries in your personal life? Venus retrograde demands we look at how we give and receive value, both professionally and personally.

Mercury retrograde, on the other hand, is all about communication, technology, and strategic pivots. In business, this can show up as delayed deals, misinterpretations in leadership messaging, or tech malfunctions at the worst possible time. Personally, it might manifest as misunderstandings with loved ones, misplaced emails, or the need to revisit old conversations. Rather than resisting these moments, use them as opportunities to refine your messaging—whether that’s your team’s strategic direction or how you express your needs in relationships.

And when you throw eclipses into the mix, you get fate-level shifts in company direction, unexpected leadership changes, industry shake-ups, and personal wake-up calls that demand you pay attention. This isn’t about forcing a fresh start—it’s about integrating the lessons of where you’ve been so you can move forward with clarity.

9 Year Numerology: The End Before the Beginning

In numerology, 9 is the number of completion, endings, and strategic closure. It’s the final stretch before a new cycle begins. If your organisation, career path, or personal life feels like it’s in flux—departments restructuring, leadership shifts, changing company vision, relationships evolving, or personal priorities shifting—this is why.

Uncomfortable? Probably - but discomfort is a sign of transformation.

The urge to rush ahead might be strong, but this year’s energy is asking for something deeper: patience, trust, and a willingness to let go of outdated strategies and personal narratives. You can’t scale a company (or a life) while still holding onto systems and beliefs that no longer serve you.

So, how do you navigate this period?

Instead of treating this equinox like a starting gun, treat it like a strategic and personal realignment point. Reflect on the lessons of the past year. Where are you being called to pause and refine? What still needs closure before you fully step into what’s next?

This is not the time for frantic action but for intentional alignment. The path ahead will reveal itself—but first, you need to trust where you are now.

Breathe. Strategize. Reflect. Let the messy magic of the in-between shape your next move—both in business and in life.
